When Laura said yes Alan jumped for joy …
Things never stand still, for Louise and Thomas a special dream has became a reality…
I was assisting my daughter Vicki on a photoshoot for a friend Aileen Wallace who is a make up artist and a willing model Daniel McGlade who is a law student and took on the roll of Boot Strap Bill one of the Black Pearl’s barnacled pirates. The make up was fabulous to say the least and we had a great time getting soaked.
A few of the shots:
I’m called in to assist Vicki in her second HND corporate assignment at the Lanark Agricultural Centre, where Lawrie & Symington’s auctioneers became the centre of focus for Vicki she will no doubt post her images later but as her dad I felt she did a good job considering she was in the middle of a very busy machinery sale day.
These are some of my snaps whilst watching Vicki in action.

Secret preview of the project of Alice in Wonderland part of my eldest daughters hnd submission I was assisting along with Aileen Wallace an extremely talented make up artist who also did the make up for the recent Pirates of the Caribbean shoot at St Andrews.
My job was documenting the behind the scenes and taking some head shots for the portfolio, my Aileen did the arrangements keeping everything in order and of course supplied the fab dinner after a long days shooting..
Vicki produced and directed the entire set, Aileen’s wizardry with costume, hair and make up brought the concept to a reality then it was Vicki strutting her stuff in the studio shooting the main images for her final project submissions.
She did a fantastic job.

First State Bank Group Illinois visit to the World Heritage site of New Lanark where the group met up with friends and with a presentation at New Lanark.
The party visited New Lanark after their morning visit to Rosslyn Chapel, Roslin, Midlothian EH25 9PU

Last month saw a new addition to the Power family with five week old Daisy coming in to the studio with her older brother Leon. Of course as with all really photogenic children I have no qualms in taking time to capture those little nuggets between the main family group shots, I hope you enjoyed your day and why not leave a comment.

I’ve been trying to source a holster for my Lowepro backpack to hold my monopod during a shoot something that gave quick access could be secured and will hold a 580ex on the pod for a lightstick.
I think I’ve solved the problem with my custom mod.
